Turkish Karate Federation President Esat Delihasan was assigned to the post of President of Karate Federation of Balkan although he was not a candidate.
Balkan Karate Federation’s 3rd general meeting was held in Belgrade, Serbia. Having been unanomiously nominated for the presidency by BKF Board, the president of Turkish Karate Federation, Esat Delihasan became the new president of Balkan Karate Federation.
Delihasan is going to carry out this duty for 2 years.
Taking the post over Bulgarian Alexei Petrov, Delihasan stated that karate in Balkan is rising with the help of Karate in Turkey: “I am very happy to be elected as the president. It is a big source of proud for me and my country. We have more responsibilities now and I want to represent Turkish Karate and Turkey, fullfilling my obligations in the best way.”
About Esat Delihasan (CV)
Born in Rize in 1969, Delihasan started his sports carreer in 1984 and competed for the national team for 120 times. He was chosen as one of the best 8 athletes of the World in 1988, becoming the first to be elected to World Mix. After having given to an end to his sports carreer, Delihasan worked as coach and trainer in several levels of the national team.
Having been the President of Turkish Karate Federation since 2008, Delihasan is a member of World and European Karate Federation in addition to Mediterranean Karate Federation Union’s 1st Vice President, which he has been carrying out for the last year.
