Young, 21-year-old Elena Quirici from Switzerland qualified for the final of -68 kg category by winning in four matches. In the first round she defeated Amelia Jayne Harvey from England by 6:1, after what she have won against Slovakian Veronika Semanikova by 6:0. In the quarterfinals Elena won over favored Turkish Hafsa Seyda Burucu, ex european champion (2013 & 2012) by 2:0, while in the semifinals she by 1:0 won against Cristina Vizcaino Gonzalez of Spain.
In the final, Elena will fight for the title of the european champion against Alisa Buchinger of Austria. According to their Facebook profiles, Elena and Alisa are pretty good friends, so it will be interesting to see will it affect to the final match. Alisa makes it to the final by winning over Silvia Spernar from Germany by 3:0 in the first round, after what she have won over Viktorija Rezajeva from Latvia by 4:0 score. In the quarterfinals Alisa won by hantei after the 0:0 score in the regular time against Vassiliki Panetsidou of Greece, while she managed to defeat Marina Rakovic from Montenegro by 5:1 in the semifinals.

For the bronze medals will be figthing Cristina Vizcaino Gonzalez against Hafsa Seyda Burucu who has won in the repechage against Veronika Semanikova by 4:1, so will Marina Rakovic against Vassiliki Panetsidou who has won against Viktorija Rezajeva by 2:1.
