The 8th Commonwealth Karate Championships held at Talkatora Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, India from 18th to 20th of September 2015 was successfully concluded with the huge participation of more than 600 competitors and delegation from 10 countries. The Sports Minister of Govt. of India Mr. Sarbanand Sonowal released the Souvenir and the Championship was inaugurated by Member of Parliament, Indian Olympic Association’s Vice President and BCCI Secretary Mr. Anurag Thakur. WKF General Secretary Mr. Toshihisa Nagura, Ambassador of Japan Takeshi Yagi, CKF President Mr. Michael Kassis, Ambassador of Peru, Special Commissioner of Delhi Police Mr. Deepak Mishra, Delhi Olympic President & IOA Joint Secretary Mr. Kuldeep Vats and Former Deputy Mayor of Delhi Mr. Anil Sharma graced the championship with their kind presence during the championship as Chief Guests.
The championships were highly appreciated by all in terms of hospitality, hotels, transportation, stadium, food and matches without any major injury and the whole countries appreciated the hard work of KAI President Mr. Karate R. Thiagarajan, General Secretary Mr. Bharat Sharma and Treasurer Mr. Viraf Vatcha.
